The inner guidance. It describes the guidelines of the Bundeswehr and how their members have to behave in accordance with the free democratic basic order. Many only smile wearily at it and describe it as a dusty concept. For the Bundeswehr and the Federal Republic of Germany, however, it is more relevant than ever. In almost every situation in and out of service in the Bundeswehr, one can observe civic action in the context of the FDGO - both positive and negative.
