The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping covers the following subjects – prepare financial reports, process financial transactions, subsidiary accounts and ledgers, financial calculations, tax requirements, operational budgets, BAS and IAS as well as payroll systems.

You will also become familiar with how to work effectively in the accounting and bookkeeping industry, introducing cloud computing into business operations as well as develop, produce and use business documents and complex spreadsheets.

The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping will also give you the ability to identify compliance and other requirements applicable to business activity, analyse and apply industry codes of conduct associated with work activities, review and apply goods and services tax (GST) implications and code transactions, report on payroll activities and amounts withheld, reconcile and prepare activity statements and lodge activity statements.

If you want to be a BAS agent, it is also important that you learn how to establish payroll requirements, record payroll data, prepare and process payroll, handle payroll enquiries and maintain payroll systems.
