BKK RWE elektronische Patiente

With the BKK RWE ePA, BKK RWE insured persons manage their health data.

As of January 1st, 2021, you as a legally insured person will have access to an electronic patient file (ePA) from your health insurance company free of charge - for those insured with BKK RWE this is called BKK RWE ePA. There you can manage your health data securely for life on a voluntary basis. As the insured person, you have sole data sovereignty and can determine whether and who should have access to your files and for how long.

What medication does a patient take, what previous illnesses does he have, what are his blood counts like, how did previous treatments go? Much of this information about our health is in the files of our doctor's offices. If we then go to another doctor, much of this information about us is not available and examinations have to be repeated. This usually creates a lot of paperwork. It could be so much easier. With the electronic patient file, or "ePA" for short. You can easily apply for the ePA via your BKK RWE. It is the personal digital storage location for your health data, like a safe, for which only you have the key and can decide which data you want to store and share.

In the ePA, doctors can file diagnoses, findings or medication plans for you with your approval. And many more functions are planned for the future. In 2022, among other things, the vaccination pass and the maternity pass. If a doctor needs your findings or documents, he first needs the appropriate "key", i.e. an explicit approval from you. You can easily transfer your data online and digitally.

Unnecessary visits to the doctor are a thing of the past. That makes your life a lot easier and at the same time relieves the actors in the health system! With the ePA you prevent double examinations and save yourself and the doctors a lot of time and valuable nerves!
