Bird of Borneo app is BoBC first mobile app now available on Google app store

We are proudly present you the Bird of Borneo app, which is the light version of our first mobile app now available on Google app store. The purpose of this mobile app is to educate the public and raise awareness about the birds of Borneo and their ecology. We hope that with this Bird of Borneo app, it will encourage overseas birders to visit Borneo and for our fellow Sabahans, Sarawakians, Bruneians and Indonesians to take an active interest in our local birds.

The Sandakan Borneo Bird Club Sabah also known as BoBC, is a registered club under the Registrars of Society, Malaysia in October 14th 2010, bearing registration no: 2456-10-SBH.

The objectives of the Club :

1) To create a wider interest in and knowledge of the ornithology, bird natural history and of Sabah, Borneo and Malaysia in general.

2) To encourage and assist the recording knowledge of the ornithology, bird natural history and of Sabah, Borneo and Malaysia in general.

3) To publish journals and monographs, hold lectures and discussion meetings, undertake or assist the undertaking of exhibitions or any other means of display, promote research and competitions, co-operate and correspond with any other body in furtherance of its objects, and do such other acts.

4) To accept, acquire, purchase, lease, transfer, dispose,assign, let or otherwise deal with properties both movable and immovable for the purpose of the Association.

5) To organize competition, seminar about birds, bird fairs and bird festivals which may increase awareness among international birders of Sabah’s remarkable avifauna and variety of beautiful habit
