The BIG e-prescription saves you a lot of time, effort and paper.

Important: The previous e-prescription project ends on December 31, 2021, which is why all e-prescriptions issued up to then must also be redeemed.

The nationwide digital recipe will come from January 1, 2022, which will be supported by the next app update.

No more collecting slips of paper and unnecessary trips to doctors and pharmacies: The BIG e-prescription app makes everything to do with your prescriptions digitally easy! Participating medical practices send you your prescriptions as a QR code directly into the app and you can redeem them in a participating pharmacy on site or in online pharmacies.

Convenient: Save yourself walking and waiting times! Follow-up prescriptions can be sent without visiting the doctor again. Prescriptions from a video consultation are also possible. A pharmacy finder in the app guides you to the nearest pharmacy if you want to redeem the e-prescription on site. The doctor search shows you in which doctor's office you can get e-prescriptions.

Contactless: Fully digitized processes enable contact-free delivery - from prescriptions to medication.

Flexible: You are free to decide whether you want to collect your medication from participating pharmacies on site, deliver it from their courier service or order it from a mail-order pharmacy. With your smartphone you always have your e-prescriptions with you. In addition, you always have an overview of the recipes on display.

Safe: The prescription data - and thus health data - that doctors and pharmacists transmit in the app are particularly protected and sent in encrypted form via servers in Germany. Only the participating pharmacies are technically able to read the QR code.
