Application for Monitoring and Capacity building of Bagwani Sakhis under BHGY

BHGY is one of the important flagship schemes of the Department of Rural Development, Government of Jharkhand. Birsa Harit Gram Yojana (BHGY) has brought livelihood opportunities for thousands of farmers with barren land by transforming their fallow lands into fruit orchards. This scheme provides a unique set of opportunities for sustainable income generation for farmers and the marginal sections of society. The idea behind this scheme is to promote sustainable livelihood while supporting the increased green cover in the state. In the last three years of implementation, BHGY has reached every district of Jharkhand covering more than seventy thousand acres of plantation. The scale of this scheme is growing constantly, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep the tap over existing and upcoming schemes under BHGY. BHGY is a scheme that would be implemented for five years, and it is different from other MGNREGS initiatives. Since, BHGY is a horticulture plantation-based scheme, it requires constant handholding and monitoring at the ground level This app has been developed to monitor the Birsa Harit Gram Yojana (BHGY ) scheme Under MGNREGA scheme. This is a monitoring app and at the same time, can be used as a capacity-building platform for training content dissemination. Rural Development Department government of Jharkhand has developed in partnership with TRIF – Transforming Rural India. This app will be primarily used by BHGY – Bagwani Sakhis The data captured by the app can be accessed by Blocks, Districts, and State level functionaries and respective stakeholders can easily monitor the performance of the schemes in their area through its user-specific dynamic dashboard. This app has two sections -

1. Monitoring of BHGY through M-form:

The proposed app can transform the way we monitor the BHGY scheme, and it can help us in streamlining the implementation and monitoring process. This app will ensure the effective engagement of Bagwani Sakhis in the program. The app will capture the Geo locations and the pictures of plantation sites on a real-time basis.

2. Training and Learning Management (TLM) section consists of training and learning Material:

•     Theme-wise training on various aspects of BHGY

•     The learning process can be tracked based on the uses of TLM content by users.

The app is user-friendly and can be used on commonly available android devices with basic features.
