You will find a lot of information here to motivate and inspire you to take these important first steps of your Badminton trip.

Badminton is a racquet sport played with snowshoes to hit a steering wheel through a net. Although it can be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "double" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a relaxed outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; Formal games are played on a rectangular inner courtyard. The points are marked by hitting the wheel with the racket and landing in the opposite half of the court.

Each side can only hit the steering wheel once before passing the net. The game ends once the steering wheel has hit the ground or if the referee, the service judge or (in his absence) the opposite side called a defect.

The following information is a simplified summary of the badminton rules based on the publication of the BWF Laws, Badminton Laws.

Badminton rules limit the design and size of snowshoes and ruffles.

To win in badminton, players must employ a wide variety of shots in the appropriate situations. These range from powerful jumps to clear falls. Often, rallies end in a smash, but setting up the smash requires more subtle shots. For example, a netshot can force the opponent to lift the steering wheel, which gives the opportunity to smash. If the netshot is tight and tumbling, then the opponent's elevator will not reach the back of the court, making the subsequent smash much harder to return.

Disappointment is also important. Expert gamers prepare for many different shots that seem identical, and use slicing to trick their opponents on the speed or direction of the stroke. If an opponent tries to anticipate the move, he may move in the wrong direction and may be unable to change his body dynamics in time to reach the wheel.
