information and sharing app for visual impaired and carers

Auxivision is an information and trading app for the visually impaired and their families.

It was created by the Streetlab, a subsidiary of the Institut de la Vision, a leading European research centers specializing in diseases of vision, and DOWiNO, digital design studio with a strong social utility. This application provides access to rich content and written by experts in the field of visual impairment.

Through the forum, the application promotes the emergence of a digital community of caregivers and assisted and his column "" Expert Opinion "" to open discussion among helped, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

Auxivision offers many content:

VISION section provides explanations on the principles of vision and visual impairment. It also presents the major visual disorders (AMD, glaucoma, cataracts, etc.) in the form of sheets.

TIP section includes firstly an inventory of equipment that can help the visually impaired person in everyday life. advice sheets to perform activities of daily living are then divided by themes (communicating, shopping, travel, home, entertainment, tech news, work / studies).

Space INTEREST includes both useful bureaucracy for a visually impaired or blind person but also a directory of key contacts (associations, professionals, care of premises, guide dog schools, training centers) to guide all person with visual handicap or their surroundings.

The FORUM is designed for visually impaired people as well as caregivers wishing to exchange around different themes. It serves primarily to ask questions to the community to seek advice or help on a given subject.

EXPERT OPINION The space allows professionals in the field of vision selected by us, to answer questions from users on a given topic (low vision, ophthalmology, accessibility, new technologies, rehabilitation, etc.). The collection of questions suggested by users is done upstream. Interview of the expert is then performed by Streetlab and published on the application in text, audio or video.

A particular work has been done to make the application accessible to visually impaired and blind.
