The Audi RS5 is a series of a sports coupe and convertible family cars from the German manufacturer Audi. Frame size 8T to be launched in 2010, followed by frame size 5F renewed in 2017.

The Audi RS5 is derived from the Audi S5, from which it is derived from the A5. The Audi RS5 was produced in two generations. The first will receive a restyling. The RS5 has no predecessors other than prototypes and concept cars.

It is a direct competitor of vehicles like the Audi RS5, BMW M3, or Mercedes C63 AMG. Contrary to initial rumors suggesting the existence of the Lamborghini V10, the Audi RS5 is the closest vehicle to Lamborghini, with a naturally-aspirated 4.2 L V8 derived from the existing Audi RS4 but occasionally boosted to 450 hp and an engine producing 460 Nm of torque.

The Audi RS5 has designed a retractable spoiler at the rear to increase downforce at high speed. It is equipped with bucket seats that use a front bumper very similar to the TT RS and are the same as in the RS6.

The Audi RS5 also has a renewed wheelset and trim explicitly designed for the RS brand itself.

Since 2012 Audi RS5s have been available in a convertible version for €97,900. A model known as the Audi RS5 Coupé is also on sale, but the performance is a bit behind.

The Audi RS5 Coupé is 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds; the speed is still limited to 250 km/h. The unbridled version of the Audi RS5 Coupe reached a top speed of 303 km/h in 2013, which was a good performance for a 4-seater coupe.

Shortly after its launch in 2016, the Audi A5, in a new look, presents the sports variant S5. These models formed the bases of the Audi RS5 a year later. For the next generation of the Audi RS5, the naturally aspirated 4.2 V8 is replaced by a twin-turbo 2.9 V6. Power remains unchanged and still reaches 450 horsepower.
