Atalaya: The assets of the public universities of Andalusia

Under the Atalaya Observatory, the Vice President of Extension and Culture of the Andalusian public universities, aware of the varied and rich cultural heritage treasure, pushed the project Virtual Portal Heritage Andalusian Universities and its application for mobile devices Atalaya3D project coordinated by the University of Granada, in order to get the spread of it and its value and visibility.

The main objective of the project is to spread the heritage of the ten public universities of Andalusia in an accessible and attractive for both the general public and for specialized researchers. For each piece included in the catalog, the visitor accesses a record where the most relevant information is displayed, both technically (author, timing, size, material, etc.) as descriptive and related literature. In addition, it offers visitors a more natural browsing experience and an amount of more affordable by the general public, including graphic resources and the ability to view videos and 3D models in real time, without sacrificing the rigor of the information displayed data.
