Deck-building strategy game about Killer Snails with bite!
The analog game won Best Tabletop Game of 2016 from Playcrafting, is an Official Selection for Indiecade 2017 and was a Finalist for for Mensa Select Seal 2017.
Silent assassins of the sea, cone snails use venom delivered through a needle-sharp tooth to attack their prey. Cone snail venom toxins are powerful enough to paralyze a large fish- or kill an unwary person. Yet in a surprising twist of nature, deadly venom toxins can become life-saving drugs!
In this deck-building strategy game, you play a scientist on a mission to discover new deadly venom peptide combinations or cabals. You must build a team of venomous marine snails, feed them prey, and collect the cabal peptides you need. To win, you’ll need to balance feeding and protecting your valuable research snails while building a deck that can attack your opponents with predators, spawn marine events such as tsunamis, and conduct research to find the winning cabal combination before your competitors do! Along the way, players will learn about the biochemistry of killer snails and other details of marine exploration and the scientific method.
Plan your Strategy: What information are you willing to share by publishing or keep secret through research? Will you cultivate your own snails, or attack the snails of the competition? Find out in Killer Snails: Assassins of the Sea.
