Most of us are blinded of reality when we see abandoned pets along the streets. These poor pets, commonly cats and dogs, are also victims of unjust treatment or maybe some of them were just simply taken for granted by their owners. Not all of us are pet lovers each of us could show sympathy to them. Nowadays, abandoned pets become a serious problem in the society. This problem seems to be irrelevant to others but this kind of problem should be given full attention and solution. These abandoned pets have become a serious problem because as long as we continue to ignore it, it will continue to exist and the numbers of abandoned pets will increase which may lead us to another serious problem. We must be aware that most of these abandoned pets don’t have an identity or proper shelter and most of these pets especially dogs have viral diseases like rabies which is very harmful to humans. Aside from that, the cleanliness in public areas will also be affected because of letting these abandoned pets to loiter around.

We should start to take necessary actions so that we may be able to help these abandoned pets. By the help of some concerned groups, we may be able to contribute by legally adopting these abandoned pets. In some countries, they were able to manage the numbers of abandoned pets by roaming around in order to catch and shelter these abandoned pets. But the most important action we can do is to start protecting our pets at home and be watchful of them to avoid losing our pets because they might be one of the abandoned pets in the roads.
