Anatole the mouse lives in a mouse town outside the city of Paris. One day, while driving by bike to rummage for sustenance, he catches a few people grumbling about mice as lowlifess. Working alone and secretly late during the evening, he leaves notes to control the cheesemakers in their work. His desire for good cheddar prompts the manufacturing plant's business achievement and to his murine notoriety to such a degree, to the point that Anatole is routinely hailed as a "mouse magnifique" by rat counterparts.
