The universality of human rights: God considers its theoretical reference in dealing with human rights issues, and that the struggle to impose respect for those rights has a universal character that must be fought in cooperation with all the oppressed, exploited and advocates of dignity, freedom, equality and social justice.

Inclusiveness of human rights: The association considers that human rights are an indivisible whole. It will remain amputated unless it is realized in its universality and in all its political, civil, economic, social, cultural and environmental dimensions.

The Jamahiriya: The Association does not expect that an elite group will be able to extract human rights for the benefit of all citizens, and believes that the idea of ​​human rights will not turn into an effective force unless it is acquired by the broad masses, especially those that do not enjoy these rights. That is why the association attaches great importance to building branches open to all male and female citizens and all democratic actors and seeks unity of action among all democrats in order to advocate for human rights.

Independence: This principle means for an association that is independent from power, whatever its nature, and from any party, organization, or any political orientation.

Democracy: The Democratic Society adopts, in its internal activities, a guarantee of equal opportunities in assuming responsibilities within it and for the participation of all its members in defining its orientations and positions, as well as in its relations with its partners nationally and internationally. It also considers the consolidation of universal human rights values ​​and actual respect for human rights in their universality. The framework of a society dominated by political, economic, social and cultural democracy and within the framework of the state of right and law, for which secularism is one of its basic characteristics and for which the adoption of a democratic constitution constitutes an entry point.

Progressive: l: Defending human rights on the basis of the aforementioned principles puts the association objectively in the ranks of the progressive movement nationally and internationally.
