We asked the people in our city. How should Alfeld (Leine) develop? What has to happen for me to want to stay here or come back?

We particularly wanted to find out about this from young people. Playful, creative, innovative - with augmented reality!

Our result: A new mission statement - “Perspective Alfeld”! The Alfeld (Leine) City Council has now unanimously decided. And thus the basis for the actions and work of the council and administration for the next few years

Many people took part, all secondary schools, students and citizens.

The Erich Kästner School organized a painting competition, all students took part - over a hundred ideas for our city came together.

High school students have dealt intensively with the difficult issue of the expropriation of people of Jewish faith in our city during the Nazi era. The result was presented to the public in an impressive lecture as part of the “Alfelder City Talks”. The film can of course be found in the app.

About the “Alfelder City Talks”:

Over nine evenings, Alfeld experts shared their special knowledge about the special features of our city with interested parties in the planning workshop. All sorts of urban development topics were discussed in this way.

For example, the town of Alfeld has a very specific history with the animal trade. Normal at the time, worthy of discussion from today's perspective. For the mission statement, a special responsibility and obligation for species protection, biological diversity and thus climate protection was derived.

In a “district pitch” we asked the people in our 15 districts what makes their district special. 15 specialties were identified. These can of course also be found in the mission statement and thus in the app.

The examples mentioned are just a sample of what happened during the two-year duration of the project. We would like to thank all the people who contributed to this process - with their ideas, ideas and wishes.
