Collection of data on the phenomena that affect the health of our forests

The purpose of the app is to collect data on the phenomena that affect the health of our forests and is linked to the public science platform "Alerta Forestal" that works to create an active community of citizens that help by sending landscape photos of Forests affected by one of the alerts (#processionaire, #sequera, #herugaboix, #ventada, #nevada) and evaluate the state of health of the forest. Depending on the importance of the involvement, different alerts are promoted throughout the year. The Forest Alert project aims to be an early warning system that helps researchers and researchers to assess the current state of health of Catalan forests, to predict current and future health of these forests using simulation models and taking into account climate change and other environmental changes that are taking place on a global and local scale.
