The work of Al-Imam Abu Hasan Al Asy'ari when the beliefs of the Muslim community in his time needed to be straightened out, and returned to their clear sources, namely the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah. in this book he explains about the Aqidah of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah.

He is Al-Imam Abul Hasan Ali bin Ismail bin Abu Bisyr Ishaq bin Salim bin Ismail bin Abdullah bin Musa bin Bilal bin Abu Burdah bin Abu Musa Al-Asy'ari Abdullah bin Qais bin Hadhar. Abu Musa Al-Asy'ari was one of the famous companions of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. He -Abul Hasan Al-Asy'ari- Rahimahullah was born in 260 H in Basra, Iraq. He Rahimahullah is known for his extraordinary intelligence and sharp understanding. Likewise, he is known for his qana'ah and asceticism.

In the book of al-Ibanah, which contains 77 pages, there are 16 chapters which discuss the main points of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah creed, accompanied by arguments from the verses of the Qur'an as well as examples of questions and answers on these issues. In this book Imam Abu Hasan al-Asy'ari defines the characteristics of Allah khabariyyah such as the height of Allah and how his consequences are for the revelations of the Qur'an and hadith and rejects changes in meaning. In this book too, he does not discuss philosophical issues mentioned in the book al-Luma'.

The contents of the book relate to issues that are very urgent for every Muslim in his life. Relating to matters of aqidah and religious principles in accordance with the methodology of the Expert Sunnah wal Jama'ah such as the problem of ru'yah (seeing Allah in the hereafter), the height of Allah above His 'arsh, and so on.
