All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is a recognized state political party based in the Indian state of Telangana, with its head office in the Hyderabad, which has its roots in the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen founded in 1927 in the Hyderabad State of British India. AIMIM has held the Lok Sabha seat for the Hyderabad constituency since 1984. In the 2014 Telangana Legislative Assembly elections, the AIMIM won 7 seats and received recognition as a 'state party' by the Election Commission of India.The AIMIM was initially a city-based party, with influence only in Old Hyderabad, but the party won 2 seats in the 2014 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election and emerged as the second largest party in the Aurangabad municipal elections. The party president and member of parliament Asaduddin Owaisi received the Sansad Ratna Award for 2014. The party has long been seen as a political representation of Muslims and Dalits in the state of Andhra Pradesh, and now Telangana.

Party। History: The history of Majlis can be divided into two parts. From the establishment of Nawab Mahmud Nawaz Khan in 1928 to the establishment of this separate organization, till 1948, this organization advocated to maintain a separate Muslim state. On 1948, after the merger of Hyderabad state in India, the Indian government imposed a ban on it. And the second part started in 1957 after the restoration of this party when he added "All India" in his name and also changed his constitution. Qasim Rajvi, who was the President of the Majlis at the time of the action taken by the Government of India against Hyderabad State and was arrested, before the departure of Pakistan, the party's reinstatement was handed over to a famous lawyer Abdul Wahad Owaisi at that time. Since then, this party has been in the hands of this family. After Abdul Wahid Salahuddin Owaisi became its president and now his son Asaduddin Owaisi is the president and MP when his younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi is the leader of the party in the Legislative Assembly.
