The app can be used offline

Kungfu or gongfu (功夫, Pinyin: gōngfu) is a martial arts originating from China. However, the meaning of the word Kungfu actually has a much broader meaning, which is something that is obtained in a long time and with high perseverance. Thus, a great cooking expert can be said to have a high Kungfu.

In addition to the word Kungfu, the terms Wushu and Kundao or Kuntao are also often used to refer to martial arts from China. The Kungfu science that has spread to Southeast Asia (especially Indonesia) in the past is called Kuntao, according to Donn F. Draeger in his book Weapons and Fighting Arts of Indonesia. However, the term Kuntao is very rarely used in the present time.

In the early days, the term Science or Martial Arts abilities in Chinese society is Silat or Wushu, and not Kungfu. The term Kungfu in the past is not as popular as it is today. Kungfu itself refers to a particular skill and tenacity that are specialized and well-tested, such as gastronomy, planting skills, and so on. The term Kungfu became popular after a martial arts legend, namely Bruce Lee popularized the term Kungfu in the Western hemisphere. Torn by the ability, speed and power of the Legend, the term Kungfu became very popular and synonymous with Chinese Martial Arts (China) until now.

The martial arts of Kungfu originally evolved from the needs and abilities of humans to survive, both to defend themselves against various types of wild animal attacks, to hunt for food, and to fight against other human groups that were perceived to be a threat to the security of their lives. With the growing knowledge of medicines and the human body in ancient China - as well as the prolonged civil war, the Kungfu Martial Arts is growing rapidly and widely, bringing many contributions and influencing the embryo of various types of martial arts in Asia, such as Shorinji Kempo, (Shaolin Kempo), Karate, Jujitsu, Taekwondo, Judo, Hapkido, Pencak Silat and so forth.

Kungfu has a history and is a very long, strict, tested and effective martial arts tradition since 5,000 years ago, along with the emergence of Daoism (Daoism) which later developed into a religion that has its own specificity. In the year 2500-an emerging variety of legendary Kung Fu flows up to now, starting from Shaolin Siaw Temple Liem Sie / Siu Lam, Wudang / Butong, Omei / Emei / Gobi, Kun Lun, Hua San, Thian San, Khongtong and others -other. In general, there are more than 100 Kungfu streams and thousands of stances and various unique and strange types of science, ranging from the harshest and most powerful (external arts) to the most gentle and lightweight science such as cotton (internal arts). The various streams and sciences that still exist today are Hung Gar / Hung Ga, Lohan, Ngo Cho, Pek Ho, Ying Jow / Eng Jiaw, Shuai Jiao, Chin Na / Qin Na, Tang Lang, Wing Chun / Ving Tsun / Wing Tsun / Yong Chun, Tai Chi / Tai Ji, Hsing-I, Ba Cave, Yi Quan / I-Quan, Fanzi Quan, Chang Quan and others.
