This is a type of greenwashing announced by Terra Choice, a Canadian eco-friendly consulting company.

Green River selects and presents four types out of a total of seven types that consumers can intuitively judge.

1. Insufficient evidence

: This is a case where there is no proper evidence such as certification label or ingredients to prove that it is an eco-friendly product.

2. Improper certification label

: This is a case of attaching an image similar to an authorized certification mark.

3. Ambiguous claim

: This is when phrases that are difficult to understand or that may cause misunderstanding are used.

4. Lie

: This is a case of using a certification mark or phrase to advertise something that is not true.
