東京都庭園美術館は、約３年間の改修工事を経て、2014年11月22日（土）にリニューアルオープンしました。工事期間中、本館（旧朝香宮邸）や各種文献の調査を行い、それに基づき、現時点で可能な限り、創建当初の姿に近づけるよう修復や復原も行いました。
こうしてますます魅力が増した本館を、より楽しく、よりわかりやすくみなさまに鑑賞していただくため、スマートフォン用アプリケーションを開設しました。各部屋の概要、建築の素材やデザインに注目した解説などを、画像やテキストでご覧いただけるほか、音声ガイド機能により、日本語と英語の解説を聞くこともできます。
このアプリケーションを多くのみなさまにご活用いただくことで、文化財としての旧朝香宮邸に対する興味と理解がさらに高まることを願ってやみません。どうぞ、お楽しみください。
