“Michlol” makes all knowledge accessible to Haredi society

The Institute for Literacy and Knowledge according to the Halacha works to promote a Haredi cultural array that is appropriate for the stabilization process. A major element of the Institute’s activity is the “Michlol” (literally, the whole) project.

“Michlol” makes all modern knowledge accessible to Haredi society using solid Jewish-Haredi epistemology.

As it creates “Michlol,” the Institute is building a body of comprehensive knowledge, and designing a Jewish-Haredi lexicon – on the one hand faithfully representing important elements of modern knowledge, while on the other faithfully representing Haredi memory, traditions, language, and theological beliefs and sensitivities. “Michlol” ‘rescues’ modern knowledge from its secularist, cultural shell and makes it accessible to the Haredi by adapting it to the authentic Haredi viewpoint.
