ছোট শিশুরাও ৫ জন ক্রিকেটারের/ফুটবলারের নাম বলতে পারে। কিন্তু সাহাবা/সাহাবী শব্দ টা হয়ত শুনেই নি। এভাবেই কি চলতে থাকবে মুসলিমদের জীবনচক্র!!

ছোট শিশুদের কথা বাদ দিলাম,আমরা কয়জন জানি সাহাবীদের জীবন সম্পর্কে। যা জানি তাও তো ভাসা ভাসা, মিথ্যা,আংশিক, গোঁজামিলে ভরা। অথচ ক্রিকেটার, নায়িকা, গায়িকাদের নাড়ির খবর, হাড়ির খবর আমাদের মুখস্ত। আল্লাহ মাফ করুন। আল্লাহর কাছে আমাদের জবাব কি হবে!

মুসলিম উম্মাহর সেরা জেনারেশন হলেন সাহাবীরা। দুনিয়ার ইতিহাসের সবচে সেরা, সবচে সফল, সবচে সাহসী, সবচে সুন্দর, সবচে তাকওয়াবান,সবচে সেক্রিফাইস করা, সবচে আল্লাহর প্রিয় ছিলেন সাহাবারা।

বইটির প্রতিটি পাতায়, প্রতি পরতে পরতে, ছত্রে ছত্রে, যে মধু-রত্ন, হারানো সোনালি সময় লুকিয়ে আছে তা না পড়লে আমি বুঝাতে পারব না ফিলিং টা কি। চলে যাবেন সাহাবীদের যুগে। এই তো আল্লাহর রাসূলের ﷺ কাছে বসে আছেন। আবু বকর (রা:) এলেন। উমার (রা:) এর সাথে উসমান (রা:) এর প্রতিযোগিতা চলছে দান নিয়ে। এই সাহাবি বিয়ে করলেন। ওয়ালিমা খেতে যেতে হবে। অমুক মহিলা সাহাবী এলেন উম্মুল মুমিনীন দের কাছে এইটা জানতে........ ইহুদিদের সাথে লেনদেন...... যুদ্ধ, সন্ধি..... আরও..... আরও.....

ওহ, নিজের গায়ে চিমটি কেটে দেখেন তো আপনি এই দুনিয়াতে আছেন নাকি সাহাবীদের যুগে মদীনার কোথাও আছেন!!

কেমন ছিলেন তারা যে, রোমান আর পারস্য দের কুফরি অহংকার মাটিতে মিশিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন খালি পায়ে যুদ্ধ করে। প্লিজ মিস করবেন না। জানতে হলে, বুঝতে হলে প্লিজ বই টি অন্তত একবার পড়ুন।

Sahabider jiboni or sahabider iman dipto jibon or jabahider jibon chitro is writen by dr. abdur rahman rafat pasha.

Companions of the Prophet or sahabi were the disciples and followers of Muhammad who saw or met the prophet during his lifetime and were physically in his presence.Al-ṣaḥābah is definite plural; the indefinite singular is masculine صَحَابِيٌّ (ṣaḥābiyy), feminine صَحَابِيَّةٌ (ṣaḥābiyyah).

Later scholars accepted their testimony of the words and deeds of Muhammad, the occasions on which the Quran was revealed and other various important matters of Islamic history and practice. The testimony of the companions, as it was passed down through trusted chains of narrators (isnads), was the basis of the developing Islamic tradition. From the traditions (hadith) of the life of Muhammad and his companions are drawn the Muslim way of life (sunnah), the code of conduct (sharia) it requires, and the jurisprudence (fiqh) by which Muslim communities should be regulated.

The two largest Islamic denominations, the Sunni and Shia, take different approaches in weighing the value of the companions' testimonies, have different Hadith collections and, as a result, have different views about the sahabi.

The next generation of Muslims after the ṣaḥābah, who were born after Muhammad died but knew personally at least one ṣaḥābah, are called Tābi‘ūn, and the generation after them, who knew at least one Tābi‘, are called tābi‘ al-tābi‘īn. The three generations make up the salaf of Islam.
