Al-Jami’ al-Musnad al-Sahih, a summary of the affairs of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, his Sunnahs and his days, known as “Sahih al-Bukhari,” is the most prominent book of the Prophet’s hadith among Muslims from the Sunnis and the community. It was compiled by Imam Muhammad bin Ismail al-Bukhari, and it took him sixteen years to edit it. He selected his hadiths from six hundred thousand hadiths that he collected. The book occupies an advanced position among the Sunnis, as it is one of the six books that are considered among the most important sources of hadith among them, and it is the first book classified in the authentic hadith in its abstract form. It is considered to be the most correct book after the Holy Qur’an. The book of Sahih Al-Bukhari is considered one of the books of the mosques, which contains all the sections of the hadith, including beliefs, rulings, interpretation, history, asceticism, etiquette, and others.

The book gained wide fame during the life of Imam al-Bukhari. It was narrated that more than seventy thousand people heard it from him, and its fame extended to contemporary times and it met with great acceptance and interest from scholars. Many books were written around it, including explanations, summaries, comments, supplements, extracts, and others related to the sciences of hadith, until some historians reported that a number His explanations alone amounted to more than eighty-two explanations.
