Surah al-Rahman, the bride of the Qur'an, is the fifty-fifth Surah of the Qur'an, which has been placed in component 1. The name of Surah, one of the divine names, is derived from its original word. There is disagreement about whether Mecca is civil or not.

Surah al-Rahman describes a collection of God's blessings in the world and in the hereafter. It also describes the setting up of the resurrection and its features and how it is audited. God, in this chapter, confesses to His servants, after mentioning all the blessings, with the verse "Phoebe Alla Rabbakma: then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny?" This verse is repeated 5 times in sura. A narration from Imam Sadeq (as) is quoted after this verse, "La bashi beni mana alaque rabi akzabee: my Lord I do not deny any of your blessings".

The virtue of Sura al-Rahman

According to some traditions, if one reads Surah al-Rahman, God gives him the best of luck and if he dies on that day or night, he is considered a martyr. Surah al-Rahman in Iran is recited at the Fatah, while in Pakistan it is recited before the wedding. In Iranian folk literature, the expression "the smell of his soul has risen" is used to refer to someone whose time is near.
