Hussein ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS), known as Aba Abdullah and Sayyid al-Shuhada (4-61 AH), is the third Imam of the Shiites, who led the Imamate for ten years and was martyred in the event of Ashura. He is the second child of Imam Ali (AS) and Fatemeh Zahra (AS) and the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (AS).

According to Shiite and Sunni historical reports, the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) announced his martyrdom at his birth and chose the name "Hussein" for him. The Messenger of God loved Hassan (Imam Hassan and Imam Hussein) very much and recommended everyone to love them. Imam Hussein (AS) is one of the companions of Kisa and one of those present in the story of Mubahila and one of the family of the Prophet about whom the verse of purification has been revealed. Numerous narrations have been narrated from Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on the virtue of Imam Hussein; "Hassan and Hussein are the masters of the youth of Paradise" and "Hussein is the beacon and the ship of salvation."
