The Association of Persons with Disabilities in Al-Ahsa was established on the first of Jumada Al-Awwal 1433 AH as an independent civil association and registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development under No. (621), provided that it provides services to persons with disabilities in the cities, villages and deserts of Al-Ahsa, and currently the number of its employees exceeds 50, while it exceeds The number of beneficiaries of its services is (2000), as the services it provides have evolved to include rehabilitation treatment, university education program, expansion of the project to provide and maintain medical and prosthetic devices, expansion of training programs ending with employment, the establishment of some specialized centers included within its plan, and the project of creating the urban environment. And a project for specialized volunteer teams with disabilities, in addition to a project for transporting people with disabilities, patients, the elderly, and others
