Issues of the Islamic faith on the methodology of the righteous predecessors

The book of Sharia was authored by Imam Al-Ajri, and one of the reasons for writing this book was the spread of innovations and whims in his era, and the emergence of misguided sects opposed to Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah, so that these sects confused many people with the issue of their religion, and their doubts about the foundations of their belief, and they began to raise doubts about them and argue with them. In the same way, Imam Al-Ajri composed this book out of jealousy over religion and the correct and pure belief, where Imam Al-Ajri said about the reason for writing this book: “I have drawn in this book - which is the book of Sharia - from its beginning to its end, I do not know that everyone who is covered by Islam needs to know it.” Because of the corruption of the doctrines of many people, and since many misguided desires and frequent innovations have appeared, I do not know that the people of truth strengthen their souls with it, and suppress the people of innovation and misguidance, according to what God Almighty taught me, so praise be to God for that.

The book deals with most issues of the Islamic faith on the methodology of the righteous predecessors. The book also deals with the response to the people of heresy and misguided sects.

Among these issues: issues of faith and disbelief in which the Kharijite and Mu'tazilah sects deviated from one side, and the Jahmiyyah and Murji'a sects from the other side.

Among them were issues of names and attributes, and the issue of the Qur’an, the word of God, took a wide area of ​​research in order to sedition ordeal in which some of the Abbasid caliphs fell, so it was one of the most dangerous heresies in which the affliction prevailed in wide sectors of the nation until God Almighty facilitated its elimination by His grace at the hands of an imam Ahl al-Sunnah Ahmad ibn Hanbal, may God have mercy on him, and whoever follows him is on the truth.

It was also among these issues, the issues of the judiciary and destiny, in which the Qadariyya and Jabariyya sects deviated, and the Sunnis stood in the middle between all these sects.

The issue of belief in the Companions, the Imamate, and the Ahl al-Bayt was also one of the most important issues that distinguished the Sunnis from the misguided Shiite sects.

In this book, there is scrutiny and clarification of these major issues with chains of transmission, clear arguments, and clear proofs, which are clearly evident to those who teach them the features of this approach - the pure and pure approach of Islam as it was brought by the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
