The neurological service of Volyn Hospital is represented by three specialized inpatient departments. Experienced doctors help to achieve significant improvements for patients with strokes, traumatic brain injuries and neuroinfections, osteochondrosis and spondylosis of various spinal sections, nerve pinched, neurosis, psycho-vegetative disorders and a wide range of other neurological diseases. Integration of doctors of different profiles - neurosurgeons, orthopedists, endocrinologists, cardiologists, ENT, oncologists, algologists, dentists, psychologists - helps to clarify the diagnosis and prescribe an adequate treatment. Early neurorehabilitation programs are designed for stroke patients, suffering from movement disorders in the limbs, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, encephalopathy, psycho-vegetative changes. In the complex treatment of pain syndromes used the latest methods of anesthesia - xenon and botulinum therapy. Along with invasive artificial ventilation of the lungs, non-invasive mechanical ventilation is performed, the so-called CIPAP-therapy, used to relieve apnea in patients with strokes. The method of therapeutic craniocerebral hypothermia, developed by Volyn Hospital staff, has a complex effect on patients with ischemic stroke: reduces the effects of cerebral edema and reduces blood clotting. A unique method of treatment of meningitis and subarachnoid hemorrhage is applied - liquor filtration.
