Plato (427 BC - 347 BC) was an ancient Greek philosopher from Athens, the most famous pupil of Socrates and teacher of Aristotle. His work in the form of philosophical dialogues has saved the whole (of recoverable even some spurious works) had a huge influence in ancient Greek philosophy and in general in the western philosophical tradition until today.
