Aditya (Sun God) Hridayam is especially nourishing and healing for the heart

The Aditya Hridayam is a hymn in glorification of the God Sun/Surya and was recited by the great sage Agastya to Lord Rama on the battle-field before fighting with Ravana.

Chant the Aditya Hridayam Stotra early in the morning after a bath and in front of the Sun, or the idol. It is auspicious to start chanting from a Sunday. One can chant the stotra thrice in one sitting. Use full focus to derive the greatest benefit.

The great Sage Agasthya Muni gave this powerful Mantra to Sri Rama. And Lord used this prayer on the battlefield during war against Ravana. After chanting this Hymn three times Sri Rama defeated Ravana. There are many benefits of reciting Aditya Hridayam.
