This memory test can give you a clue as to how your memory is doing. You will see a series of pictures that you should try to remember.

Many healthy people occasionally experience difficulty remembering. It is quite common to forget:

Agreements and chores

- Where you have put keys or glasses

- Why, for example, you have gone out into the kitchen

However, if for a period of at least half a year you experience that your memory has become significantly impaired, talk to your immediate family and discuss it with your doctor.

Problems remembering do not have to be a sign of dementia. Memory problems can also occur in connection with stress, depression or other illnesses.

Remember: Dementia is a sign of illness - not old age.
