"The Story of Yaatsu Tsuzuki"

About 250 years ago, it is the story of the Edo period.

There was a village called Izumi in the south of Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture. There is a large mansion called Tsuzuki, which makes sake, and the sake is very famous, and it seems that it was also drunk in Edo. Yaatsu Tsuzuki was born in 1765 as the son of the sake brewery. This area is called the Bikai, and it was a dead land that had to rely on the water of the reservoir for farming. Yaatsu thought about passing water through it, and threw all of his private property and worked desperately. However, although Yaatsu died without the dream coming true, the world drawn by Yaatsu led to the development of Anjo, which was later called "Japan Denmark".

In the production, the art departments of three high schools in Anjo City are in charge of drawing.

Music production, narration, programs, etc. were all volunteered. We are deeply grateful to everyone who cooperated in the production.

We hope that you will know more about Anjo City through Karakuri BOOKS.

"Nankichi Niimi Story"

This is the story of Nankichi Niimi, a fairy tale writer famous for Gongitsune.

A popular writer who appears in elementary school language textbooks spent his time as a teacher in Anjo City. Nankichi Niimi's literature was influenced by the fact that he lost his mother when he was young and was adopted, and that he was born weak and could not go on to school as he thought.

Nankichi finally returned to his sudden illness while he was devoting himself to literature in his longing for Tokyo. After some hard work, becoming a regular teacher in Anjo made Nankichi literature bloom at once. During the lively Anjo boarding house era, he wrote many works.

The footprints can still be seen in Anjo city.

We hope that you will know more about Anjo City through Karakuri BOOKS.

"Nobuyoshi Yamazaki Story"

Nobuyoshi Yamazaki was born on June 26, 1873, and is an agricultural politician from Ishikawa prefecture. Became the first principal of Aichi Prefectural Agriculture and Forestry School, and worked as the secretary of the Imperial Agricultural Association. As the principal, he raised Aichi Prefectural Agriculture and Forestry School into one of Japan's leading agriculture and forestry schools, and became the center of education, administration, and research in Aichi Prefecture's agricultural administration. It is said that Nobuyoshi Yamazaki has made great efforts to improve agriculture in Aichi Prefecture, and the area around Anjo City has become an advanced agricultural area that is called "Japan Denmark".

"Jozan Ishikawa Story"

Jozan Ishikawa was born in Izumi-cho, Anjo City, to the family of Fudai Anjo, who has served Tokugawa for generations. It is said that Ieyasu Tokugawa dyed the talented Jozan and always kept it beside him. However, when he was reprimanded for violating his orders in the summer of Osaka, he quit the samurai and worked hard in Kyoto. Shisen-do in Ichijoji, Kyoto was built by Jozan. Jozan was a Confucian scholar, a Chinese poet, a calligrapher, a tea master, and a landscape architect. This work tells the story of his overflowing thoughts in his creation while following his life.

"Matsudaira Kiyoyasu Monogatari"

Kiyoyasu Matsudaira, the grandfather of Ieyasu Tokugawa, was born in Anjo Castle, Mikawa, in Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture, in 1511, and became the 7th head of the family at the age of 13. Kiyoyasu, who had a talent as a military commander, quickly achieved the unification of Mikawa based in Okazaki Castle. According to the records, he was an excellent master of human mind. Kiyoyasu then went to Moriyama Castle, the residence of Nobunaga's father, Nobuhide Oda, to control Owari. At that time, when Kiyoyasu killed Sadakichi, a vassal who was rumored to be a spy, a false alarm flowed, and Sadakichi's child, Yashiro, who truly received it, misunderstood that Sadakichi was killed and murdered Kiyoyasu. I did. This work depicts from the birth of Kiyoyasu to this "Moriyama collapse". I would appreciate it if you could get to know Kiyoyasu Matsudaira, the famous general born by Anjo.

"Kikujiro Okada Story"

Kikujiro Okada was born in Anjo Tosaki as a child of a poor farmer, and grew up feeling the value of working with wisdom and courage, looking at the back of his father who works hard and saying, "I can do anything if I think about it." After being elected a village council member at the age of 26, he lived in the world of politics. When inviting an agricultural school to Anjo, he desperately asked the villagers to think about the future of their children and grandchildren. In 1958, Kikujiro died at the age of 95. "Kikujiro Okada Story" We hope that you will get to know Kikujiro Okada, the "ambition of town development" that contributed to the development of Anjo through this work.

"Suzuki Masakichi Story"

Masakichi Suzuki, the creator of the first domestic violin, was born in Ansei 6 in Nagoya and built a violin manufacturing factory in Obu City, where he contributed to the development of Japanese Western music and the development of local industries. This story was created so that children can develop a little thought of their hometown through the way of life of Masakichi, who self-taught the violin, which was rare at that time, in a poor living environment. I would be grateful if you could have an interest and attachment to Suzuki Masakichi and his time.
