Eknath Maharaj a popular Hindu Saint from Maharashtra. Eknathi Bhagwat is a major work of Varkari Smapradaya. Saint Eknath Maharaj had begun writing this holy scripture, Shri Eknathi Bhagwat in Paithan and completed it in Varanasi. Eknathi Bhagwat was written in 1500 century. Eknathi Bhagwat is considered to be a very powerful scripture by the Varkari Sampradaya, the followers of Lord Vitthala of Pandharpur.

एकनाथी भागवत हा नाथांचा अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा, सर्वांगसुंदर आणि लोकप्रिय असा ग्रंथ आहे. हा ग्रंथ म्हणजे महाराष्ट्रातील भागवत धर्माच्या, श्री ज्ञानेश्वरांनी उभारलेल्या मंदिराचा आधारस्तंभ होय, असे बहिणाबाईंनी एका अभंगांत म्हटले आहे. म्हणूनच वारकरी संप्रदायाच्या प्रस्थानत्रयींत त्याला पहिले स्थान आहे. एकनाथी भागवत प्रथम वाचून समजून घेतले म्हणजेच ज्ञानेश्वरींतील प्रमेयाचा अर्थ नीट कळतो. एकनाथी भागवताशिवाय ज्ञानेश्वरी संपूर्ण समजत नाही असे म्हणतात. शास्त्रसुधारक विष्णुशास्त्री बापट यांनी केलेले मराठी भाषांतर फारच छान आहे.

एकनाथी भागवत हा एकनाथांचा एक महत्त्वाचा ग्रंथ असून वारकरीपंथास आधारभूत आहे. संस्कृतमधील भागवत पुराणाच्या एकादश स्कंधावरील ही ओवीबद्ध मराठी टीका आहे. त्याची रचना इ.स. १५७० ते इ.स. १५७३ या काळात झाली. सत्ताविसाव्या अध्यायात पूजाविधी आहे. सर्वांभूती समानता आणि भगवद्भाव हे नाथांच्या शिकवणीचे सार म्हणून सांगता येईल.
