Risk area is a digital data platform that uses numerous analytical tools, integrations with APIs, real data from the public security of the states, in addition to collaborative action.

These tools allow the user to make decisions based on

strategic analysis, past crime trends, to report crime rates, point out local threats, dominance of bandits and militias.

The platform recognizes the security levels for criminal stains and

heat maps at specific locations on the map. By making criminal data more accessible and transparent, it improves the security of citizens and society.

💡 RISK AREA: The platform uses heat maps of the most likely locations of criminal activity (drug trafficking, parallel power, based on collaborative occurrences of past crime trends

💡 NAVIGATION: Similar to other GPS navigation applications, our differential is that we take you to your destination with safety in mind, that is, the user when searching for the route to his destination, has the information of risk areas conflicted by organized crime and militia.

Those who walk in Rio de Janeiro for example and do not know the region well, may fall into traps on the way and end up entering favelas dominated by organized crime - the signs are not a guarantee of safety.

Our goal is to reduce the risk of the traveler being their source of security during their travels. Whether at the gas station, on the road, staying at a hotel or even strolling through a city.

💡 DATA: Access to information is a fundamental democratic right provided for in Federal Law No. 12,527 of 2011, as well as in the Brazilian legal system in art. 5th item XXXIII, item II of § 3 of art. 37 and § 2 of art. 216 of the 1988 Federal Constitution.

💡 Citizens have a fundamental right of access to information, including data on public security. Access to data on the map is critical

for decision-making and, in analysis, improve day-to-day security.

💡 The Risk Area can assist in studies by local companies, politicians, activists and citizens to demand action and improve safety and protection, as provided for in art. 144 of the 1988 Federal Constitution.

💡 Data used in the project are based on collaborative data; released by the Ministry of Justice (Gov BR), Hotline, Public Security Institute (ISP), Amnesty International, Fluminense Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFF), Center for the Study of Violence at the University of São Paulo (USP).

This project is part of a broader social movement to make data more open and transparent.

🚫The application should not be used as a tool for what is safe or unsafe. The goal is to provide a way to view crime data when traveling to different locations. Whenever someone travels somewhere new, they should always be careful and attentive.

💡 In some cities, the geographic coordinates of areas at risk have not yet been published, we are working to update soon, based on public safety information and research studies.

Soon this can be done collaboratively directly in the application.
