The book Amtsilah Tasrifiyah is systematically formulated and easy to understand. It starts with the division of Fiil Tsulatsi Mujarad, which has 6 chapters complete with examples.

The Amtsilah Tasrifiyah book is one of the books that discusses the science of Shorof. The science of shorof is linguistics in Arabic which etymologically (language) means "to change".

In terms of terms, Shorof (another spelling: Sharaf: Saraf), is an Arabic linguistics which discusses the forms of sentences or words, both in terms of changes in form, changes in letters, or changes in the arrangement of letters that form words.

In Islamic boarding schools, Shorof Science is called the mother of science, while Nahwu Science is the father of science. These two elements become aphorisms which give an understanding that in understanding a science (especially the science of Shari'a), one is required to master these two sciences.

When someone studies Nahwu science, it is incomplete if he does not also learn Shorof science, and vice versa. Because both complement each other, like a father and mother.

The Amtsilah Tasrifiyah Book is a beginner Shorof book which is usually taught in Islamic boarding schools. There are also Shorof books that are in the "heavyweight" category, such as Awdhah al-Masalik ila Alfiyah Ibn Malik, Syarah Qothrunnada, Jami' ad-Durus, and many more.
