The AME meets the deficit in the supply of health services in outpatient

The Medical Clinic Specializing Barradas was created in September 2008 from a management contract signed between the Ministry of Health of São Paulo and Seconci - Social Service of the São Paulo State Civil Construction.

We began operations in December 2008, amid the renovation of the building, respecting the needs of our users. The AME covers an area of ​​30,000m2 with 16,000m2 of floor space. Has 45 offices of care, surgical center with six operating rooms and 12 beds RPA, day hospital with 24 beds, 2 rooms of small procedures, 3 rooms for performing endoscopic procedures, area rehabilitation area intended for diagnostic tests including MRI magnetic and nuclear medicine, amphitheater, cafeteria and other areas of support required for comprehensive care of our users.

The AME is to meet the deficit in supply of medium and high complexity on an outpatient basis, with reference loco - high solving regional and having 100% of its range of services adjusted as the Ministry of Health guidelines.

Given the guidelines of the SES, reference flows and against reference will aim to optimize the resources available in primary care in specialty clinics and supplementary to hospital care streamlining care processes in the diagnostic stage and performing surgery in day hospital regime releasing installed capacity in regional hospitals.

Following determination of SES to meet in the Outpatient Specialized Doctors, AME provides medical care of high resolution, ie, serve clinical protocols previously defined and agreed with the Ministry of Health, so that the patients are seen in its entirety and within the possible in a single day, the focus of care is intended for diagnostic and therapeutic research orientation in clinical outpatient and surgical resolution in surgical clinics. We currently have a total of 22 medical specialties and over 30 auxiliary diagnostic tests and therapeutic (Annex 02).

The great advantage of the AME is the presence of a complete surgical center with six operating rooms and 12 beds for post anesthetic recovery, enabling the realization of small and medium-sized surgeries, including under general anesthesia. For this we have a wing of hospitalization in day hospital system, with 12 rooms and 24 beds, running from 6 am to 22h allowing the patient to be operated and discharged the same day.

The AME will be offering to the population about 200,000 consultations in 2010, and although the vocation of this health equipment is loco-regional, the related scheduling system takes into account the home address of the user, so that we understand that an important part of the resources offered will be for users of health facilities of Heliopolis community, which according to recent data from the IBGE has about 120,000 residents.
