So, I get a message that the version I'm using will expire in a few days and I must update. I try several times to do the update and it will not install. Now Signal will no longer work. The upgrade will not install. And I cannot retrieve my previously downloaded threads. THANKS A LOT! Now I'm looking for a dfferent app.

I downloaded this, and it cannot operate without Google Play Services. I've disabled most of 356 services under G P S. Signal has 30 separate permissions including 'crime message alert' and links to google advertisers and trackers. If you want total privacy, download another messaging app that starts with Te!
