My friend, your heart is a shining mirror. You have to clean it from the veil of dust that covers it. The heart is destined to reflect the secret light of the Divine. When the light from Allah [Who] is the Light of the heavens and the earth begins to shine upon the parts of your heart, the lamp of the heart will be lit. The lamp of the heart is in the glass and the glass is like a (shining) star

Then within that heart, the lightning of Divine revelation will flash. This lightning comes from the cloud-thunder of meaning that is lit with oil from the tree of many blessings, (namely) the olive tree that grows neither in the east nor in the west and the radiance of that tree of revelation, is so pure, so real that it illuminates , though not touched by fire. (al-Nur [24]: 35)

Then the lamp of knowledge lights up by itself. How does it stay extinguished when the divine secret light shines on it? If only the divine runic light shone on it, the secret night sky would be ablaze with thousands of stars.

And with the stars [you] find [your] way. (alNajjl [16]: 16)

It is not the stars that point to us, but the Divine light. Because Allah has decorated the sky which is close to the stars (al-Mulk [67]: 6).
