The One, Two, Three and Away! books by Sheila McCullagh are read and explored as well as Code Level 'decodable' readers within the ICRWY Project - use the ICRWY Lesson BOOKS app to read them all.

The ICRWY Project seeks to move learners into the 'self-teaching' phase as quickly as possible, even when whole class teaching (and differentiation is essential)

Miss Emma has a Masters Degree in Special Educational Needs and is undertaking doctoral work in the UK, with a research focus on early interventions for reading and spelling difficulties including dyslexia. She has developed the SSP ICRWY and ICSWY systems for teaching neurotypical (including non verbal) AND neurodiverse learners to read and spell TOGETHER by using Speech Sound Pictographs within a Speech to Print Approach .

The ICRWY Steps to Reading and Spelling Lessons and Books are designed to include all learners, with a focus on phonemic awareness, and the mapping of phonemes to graphemes and moving quickly towards Orthographic Mapping using a multisensory Speech to Print Approach - we are 'Code Mapping®' and Monster Mapping®!
