Internet radio was pioneered by Carl Malamud. In 1993, Malamud launched "Internet Talk Radio"

The main reason to launched “Radio Yaariyan” to communicate with our online friends over Internet Radio, social media and as well. Facebook, tweeter etc.

most Internet radio stations increased their stream quality as bandwidth became more economical. Today most stations stream between 64 kbit/s and 128 kbit/s providing near CD quality.
