The functions of the differential / gardan are:

1. To move the engine power from the axle shaft to the driven axle.

2. To allow different rotations of the left or right wheel when the vehicle turns left or right.

Differential is divided into two main parts:

 Final gear

It consists of a pinion drive and a ring gear, and serves to enlarge the moment and shoot the 90º direction.

2. Differential gear

Which consists of side gear and pinion gear, and serves to distinguish the rotational speed of the left and right wheels when turning.
