The "AK-App" offers the Arbeitskammer education program for online booking.

What does the app offer?

The "AK-App" in this version realizes the first step towards a large workroom app that will combine several services in the future. The app currently offers an overview of the extensive seminar program at the Arbeitskammer-Bildungszentrum in Kirkel as well as the opportunity to register for all seminars directly online. Registered users can also use the app in a personal area to observe and manage interesting seminars for them.

To whom is the offer addressed?

The Saarland Chamber of Labor conducts seminars in its education center for its members, in particular for all Saarland employees and their employee representatives. In doing so, possibilities of action for more participation in the workplace, in the design of working conditions through collective agreements but also through active involvement in socio-political discussion processes are shown.

The offer is supplemented by seminars for personal development. These include the acquisition of methodological skills, but also the safe presentation of one's own positions as well as communication and negotiation. In total, between 60 and 100 separate seminars are offered each year. There are also numerous seminars from BEST e. V., the joint advice center for works and staff councils of the working chamber and the DGB, as well as offers from the specialized departments of the working chamber, z. B. for severely handicapped representatives or employees in the care.

Most of the working chamber seminars are recognized under the Education Exemption Law (SBFG), which makes them particularly interesting for the employees of Saarland. But many seminars are also aimed at the elected employee representatives in the companies and administrations (such as works councils, staff councils, employee representatives, youth and trainee representations, representatives of disabled persons or women's and equality officers), who have special exemption options due to their function.
